Deviousness |
Morticia and Gomez quite openly loved each other in a healthy, highly mutually respectful relationship. Morticia, though being a woman in that era, was independant, intelligent and equaqlly head of household. Gomez was independantly wealthy, intellegent and a highly skilled businessman. The children were very family orientated, well educated, (Wednesday often demonstrated a great deal of history knowledge while Pugsly was quite scientifically prolific) clearly not spoilt, despite the wealth, and highly content in their lifestyle- never whinging about what was popular or rebelling against their parents etc... They were a close knit family, living with their Grandmama and Uncle, all very affectionate towards each other and considering the amount of guests they got, very socially connected and generous. Lurch, even though he was the "help" a role often used in a demeaning way in other shows of the era, was respected, treated like the rest of the family and clearly able to pursue anything he wished. They were open minded and enthusiastic about new things...
So... in the end, who exactly are the crazy ones?
This is a fabulous piece of work, I saw it online once and have been looking for it ever since <3
